About Us

A classic car event at Lancaster Elks Lodge #1478.
A classic car event at Lancaster Elks Lodge #1478.

On Legion Pkwy in Lancaster, NY, the Elks Lodge #1478 has been doing something most venues can't fake: building real community. Pull up a stool at the bar on a Friday night and you'll find neighbors arguing good-naturedly about the Bills, volunteers organizing the next SPCA fundraiser, and someone's mom absolutely killing it on the dance floor to an Elvis tribute act.

The hall itself earns its 4.5-star reputation the old-fashioned way. There's genuine square footage here, a well-stocked bar area that doesn't feel like an afterthought, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere where a meat raffle becomes a full evening out. Reviewers keep coming back to the same word: wonderful. The people make it, and the people here show up.

Elks Lodge #1478 sits at the intersection of Western New York tradition and active community service. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has always put charity at its core, and this lodge carries that forward with events that raise money for local causes while giving Lancaster residents a place they actually want to spend time.

What We Offer

The lodge's banquet hall handles everything from milestone birthday parties and wedding receptions to corporate dinners and club meetings. With flexible room configurations and an on-site bar, you won't need to coordinate between three different vendors just to throw a proper event.

Regular programming keeps the calendar full year-round. Meat raffles, live entertainment nights, charity fundraisers, and athletic field access for youth and recreational sports make this one of the most active member-serving lodges in Erie County. If your organization needs a home base for a recurring event, the lodge offers rental arrangements that beat most commercial venues on both price and atmosphere.

Membership opens the door to Elks' national benefits alongside local perks: discounted bar access, priority event booking, and the satisfaction of contributing to a lodge that actively gives back to Lancaster, NY and the surrounding communities.

"Very nice hall. Got the pleasure of being invited to see Terry Buckwall perform on behalf of the SPCA fundraiser. Mom has a, ball dancing and singing along to all the Elvis favorites and we won a couple Chinese auction baskets. The food was really good and the bar staff were quick and sociable."
